Introduction To Repairing Your Credit Rating

I make a pretty good living on the NET, in fact my income is derived exclusively from my internet business and life is good.

But it wasn't always that way.

The year was 2003, the month was May. I had gone to bed early on a Saturday night. When I woke Sunday morning I went straight to my computer and discovered something strange. As I grabbed for the mouse, I discovered I had trouble moving it. I just laughed it off, took it as "Well I'm still sleepy." and tried again. Once again I couldn't left click the mouse. I started to speak aloud. I wanted to say, "What the Hell!" but what came out was, "Wh DaHef!".

I had had a minor stroke while I was sleeping.

To make a long story short ... since I was an independent contractor, I had no health plan at the time and the medical expenses swelled out of control. I had savings, but with a high-end mortgage, new auto and bills up the yahoo, my savings where eaten up and my financial standing plummeted. This of course was due to medical expenses and I had to quit my job. You see, I'm a communicator, that's how I made my living.

Think for a moment:
A well paid communicator who could not, at the time, communicate

And this of course was ... due to illness.

All my adult life I had made my living with words and now that was put on HOLD.

Months went by and during my rehabilitation my financial resources were Stretched To The Max.

Results:
A great credit rating became a disastrous credit rating. But I overcame, both in health and credit standing.

I've been where you are now.

Afraid to answer your phone for fear that it's another collection agency calling to demand payment.

Afraid to even open your snail mail, reminding you, that to the collection agencies, you're just a "dead beat".

The pressure this puts on a family is tremendous. In fact, credit and financial problems in general are major reasons for a portion of the divorce rate.
